Burma Charity - UK

Humanitarian Aid Charity for Burmese people

Fundraising

Burma Charity UK will apply different fundraising techniques such as special events, grant writing,
donations drives and sponsorships.

We welcome those who want to put up an event or sponsor any program for the benefit of our cause.

We thank all individuals, families and organizations that have helped us by contributing in
whatever way: cash or kind.

At the moment, our supporters are trying to take part in a variety of activities like
cycling, swimming, baking cakes, BBQ and even asking for donations instead of birthday and wedding presents!

Fundraising ideas

Some suggestions on raising money for Burma Charity are considered with the minimum of fuss. Please contact our members of staffs before doing the Fundraising activity so that we can provide full information and of course we will give the permission to use our details and Charity registration number.

1. Collections at Bus stops and Tube stations
Dress up for fund collections at crowded places is one of the good ideas. You will need to contact individual Tube stations and Public Transport Department to get permission.

2. Fundraising meal
If you are a little chef, why will you not use your best cooking skills to hold a fundraising meal at home? It is fun to enjoy this kind of moment with friends who are working together for good causes.

3. Benefit concerts
All the smiles from fans cheering the musicians and performers go for charity. When a talent featured into a charitable gift, it becomes an unforgettable joy to behold.

4. Bike ride
Let’s take a ride. But this time is not for leisure, fitness or casual. Every sweat you shed has its valuable meaning. One round of wheel you cycle can make a thousand smiles on someone’s face.

5. Short breaks
Are you thinking about taking a break from city life or going on holidays? Burma Charity organises some trips which magically transform your relaxing and fun moments into cherishable memories of helping others.

6. Celebrate and Give parties
The reasons we celebrate are for our success, memories and milestones. Why don’t we win our remembrance by giving hopes and lives to those who are suffered?

7. Steps to remember
One step or another, we try to reach our goal of handing the neccessities to Burmese people in need. By joining altogether, we walk, we jog and little by little, that adds up the saving pots for humanitarian works.

8. Tea Party Gathering
We are going to have a cup or more tea to raise the Burma Charity funds. Having chitchats and rejoicing the tea-time with friends will make you aware of how beautiful that is to donate even a penny from your earning.

9. Online Fundraising
Do you know that creating a web page or so to help raise the funds can put a big smile on your face? Not only that, how about adding “a penny per click” links to your own web sites that goes for charity?

10. Volunteer for merits
All the compassionate energy you exert decorate the good karma of yours. That is why we plan to arrange little odds-and-ends jobs of which the payments contribute to charity funds.

If you have any other idea, please bring it on and we will be very happy to take that into account.
